The Application of Embedded Technology in NC System
Yong Yin; Zude Zhou; Quan Liu; Fangmin Li; Yihong Long
The paper analyzes the inherent drawbacks of the traditional NC system based IPC, puts forward and then provides the embedded NC system with the architecture of ARM and DSP, in which the ARM takes charge of the G code input, compiling and interpretation, the simulation display, the user’s interface and the network interface etc, while the DSP is mainly in charge of real-time tasks such as interpolation computation and path control. The paper also introduces the hardware and software design in detail. Experiments show that NC system built on the embedded technology can reduce the system hardware scale, facilitate application development, cut down the costs and promote the system’s reliability and real-time performance.

The Research of Fuzzy PID Control Strategy Based on Neural Network in the Tension System
Yongyi He; Shuai Guo; Qihong Zhou
Based on back-propagation (BP) arithmetic, a neural network Fuzzy PID control strategy is presented for the tension systems, the parameters of which are of deep coupling, nonlinearity, time-variability, and indeterminacy. In this control strategy, the parameters such as proportion, integration and differentiation of PID controller are adjusted on-line through self-learning of a network based on classical PID control algorithm. The decoupling control is carried out in the process. The performance of control strategy has been performed on the tension tested-bed under the varying load conditions. The experimental results show that the almost dynamic decoupling and completely static decoupling are obtained.

Discussion on CSCW Methods for Embedded Systems
Tao Yu; Tan Liu; Shuzhen Yang; Wenbin Wang
This paper discusses the Computer Supported Collaborative Work (CSCW) methods that can facilitate the work of embedded systems. The focus is on how to design and build effective embedded network architecture, and which CSCW tools should be used in embedded system. A brief conception of CSCW and embedded system is presented, followed by designing and building an embedded network system currently available, and CSCW tools used in embedded systems are discussed additionally. Finally, predictions are made on what CSCW for embedded systems might expect to be in future years.

A System of Wine Blending Based on Neural Network
Jianping Ren; Zhimin li
According to the investigation of some liquor company, this paper built a physics and chemistry information database of wine bodies and a management information system, and achieved wine auto-blending through some training to physics and chemistry information of wine bodies by exercising BP network. At the same time, a satisfactory obligatory condition (the best feeling, the balance harmony of a variety of slight ingredient) was produced by making use of the linear programming, and the wine auto-blending was achieved.

Family Cars’ Life Cycle Cost (LCC) Estimation Model Based on the Neural Network Ensemble
Xiaochuan Chen; Jun Shao; Zhongxu Tain
Design for cost (DFC) is a method that reduces life cycle cost (LCC) at design stage. From the angle of DFC, the design features of family cars were obtained, such as all dimensions, engine power and displacement. At conceptual design stage, cars’ LCC were estimated using back propagation (BP) artificial neural networks (ANN) method based on the features. An example was given. Levenberg-Marquardt (LM) and Genetic algorithm (GA) were used to train BP ANN’ s weights. The results obtained through the adoptions of neural network ensemble is better than simply use GA or LM algorithm.

Methods for Calculating the Transmission Torque of Magnetic Transmission Mechanisms
Shunqi Mei; Zhiming Zhang; Renbin Xiao
The methods of analyzing and calculating the magnetic field and the main problems of designing magnetic mechanisms are reviewed and discussed. The comparatively precise engineering methods for calculating the transmission torque of the plane axial and coaxial radial magnetic transmission mechanisms based on the magnetic theory are introduced, which can be used for optimization of designing the magnetic transmission mechanism. Two application instances of magnetic transmission mechanisms used in the Three-For-One and Two-For-One textile twisting machine are introduced, and the transmission torque of the mechanisms are measured by experiment and calculated by means of the engineering methods.

Sustainable Industrial System (SIS)
Odd Myklebust
Sustainability is a topic which is important both for national and international research. Sustainability can both be a competitive factor for manufacturing industry but also reduce the competitiveness with cost driving environmental legislation for a single region e.g. EU only. Approaches for sustainability claim to have both a holistic and international views. They need to manage the product life cycle and keep track of the information flow within of all the lifecycle phases of the product. A special attention is kept on End of Life Management (EOL)

Hydraulic Cylinder CAD Design System Based on Product Disposition
Yigang Hu; Yonggang Shen
To adapt the requirements of the mass product-made production model, the three-dimension parametric design software about hydraulic cylinder CAD is developed. This software possesses the product disposition function for the product series design with product data management (PDM) basic idea. This design system is more useful to the mass product-made production for the customer requirements (MC, Mass Customization).

The Reuse Study of Small Agricultural Machinery’s Product Information Model
Xuejun Sun; Jiandong Jiang; Fang Xu; Libin Zhang
It is estimated that more than 90% of industrial design activity is based on variant design. How to use the product information model of similar products and to improve design efficiency and the designer’s creativity is a subject that is worth studying. This paper has set up the structure frame of small agricultural machinery product information model, and uses ontology to describe product information model. The described mechanism of product information model has been set up. The revise mechanism of product information model is researched. The results of study are used in the reused system of small agricultural product information model.
