The lingering instruction, the growing lack of working sources and the glorification of the adolescence in our current society, are factors that lead to the extension of this period. The lengthening of this stage stands for late adolescents' contribution to the University. Although we are not in condition of assuring up to what extent this last factor falls upon the teaching-learning process, we believe that we can’t put this fact aside. The objective of this work was to consider the percentage of late teen age students at the Inorganic Chemistry class that is carried out in the last term of the first course of the Biochemistry and Biotechnology careers of the Biochemistry and Biological Sciences College, and whether this issue has to do with the student’s performance or not.
