This thesis presents a framework that consists of a modular model built from basic units that define its dynamics based on behavior. The behavior of these units consists of three blocks: individual behavior, social behavior and epidemiological behavior. Individual behavior can be seen as the result of applying a set of rules and systems based on fuzzy logic. Social behavior refers to the actions individuals take as a result of interactions with other individuals. The epidemiological behavior that results from the health status of the individual is the third factor that determines overall behavior. The proposed framework is then very attractive to model different types of epidemics in which the behavior of individuals, their relationships and their environment play a crucial role. The construction of the behavior of the agents from three blocks gives the model a wide range of applications, since different situations can be modeled simply by making changes in some of its blocks. The model was validated using influenza epidemiological data and in addition different control scenarios are proposed that allow to evaluate the adaptive capacity of the approach.Palabras clave – provistas por el repositorio digital
