The work focuses on studying three problems. The first of them deals with the extension of measures that have the doubling property. For this purpose we define extensions operators which give an extensios of the measures supported in a closed set. The construction of these operator will be possible if the boundary of the such set satisfies some minimal smootheness property, which es equivalent to saying that the set, where the measure is supported, cannot have thorns or cusp. We shall point out that the Whitney covering provides an essential tool for such constructions. The second problem is related to obtain necessary and sufficient conditions on two componets of different dimensions in order to obtain the doubling property in the space conformed with the union of these components. Finally the latter problem considered is the following; under the assumption of contact of sets of different dimensions, how to modify, introducing weights, in order to get a doubling measure for the whole space.
