Pollination Biology reviews the state of knowledge in the field of pollination biology. The book begins by tracing the historical trends in pollination research and the development of the two styles of pollination biology. This is followed by separate chapters on the evolution of the angiosperms; the evolution of plant-breeding systems; the geographical correlations between breeding habit, climate, and mode of pollen transfer; and sexual selection in plants. Subsequent chapters examine the process of sexual selection through gametic competition in Geranium maculatum; the effects of different gene movement patterns on plant population structure; the foraging behavior of pollinators; adaptive nature of floral traits; and competitive interactions among flowering plants for pollinators.
The book is designed to provide useful material for advanced undergraduate and graduate students wishing to familiarize themselves with modern pollination biology and also to provide new insights into specific problems for those already engaged in pollination research. The book is intended to be used for both teaching and research.

Pollution Control for Agriculture is a substantial revision of the "Agricultural Waste Management" book that discusses the implications and possible management systems for crop production. This 14-chapter text also provides the basic information needed to understand the concern on pollution from agricultural wastes. Agricultural wastes are defined as the excesses and residues from the growing and first processing of raw agricultural products, such as fruits, vegetables, meat, poultry, fish, and dairy products.
The introductory chapters deal with the influence of legal constraints and changing agricultural practices on the environmental problems associated with agricultural production. The following chapter focuses on the characteristics of food processing wastes and animal wastes. The remaining chapters are devoted to the fundamentals, principles, and benefits of various waste management processes and treatment systems, including biological and biochemical processes, ponds and lagoons, oxygen transfer, aerobic, anaerobic, physical and chemical treatments, nitrogen control, and land disposal.
This book is of great value to food agricultural producers, scientists, and engineers who are interested in knowing and applying feasible agricultural waste management concepts and approaches.

Pollution Ecology of Estuarine Invertebrates, as its companion volume "Pollution Ecology of Freshwater Invertebrates", aims to present the ecology of estuarine invertebrates and highlight some systematic interpretations. This book also discusses the knowledge about these invertebrates. It is a compilation of existing data at the time of writing, an attempt to introduce ideas and information, and a result of synthesis of systematic interpretations.
This book consists of 12 chapters, each with a specific invertebrate as subject area. The invertebrates encompassed in this book are thread and bristle worms, Bryozoa, ostracods, copepods, crabs, shrimps, larval decapods, Cyathura, isopods (other than Cyathura), amphipods, clams, and snails. Each chapter gives a thorough discussion of the featured invertebrate according to some of the organism’s aspects, such as habitat, systematic, zoogeography, pollution ecology, life cycle, physiology, population, taxonomy, and distribution.
This book is a valuable source for students, teachers, scientists, or researchers interested in estuarine invertebrates and pollution and study biology, environmental science, zoology, or even marine science.
