A fully CUDA implementation of a formulation abre to solve fluid structure interactions, or with thermal coupling, based on Cartesian structured finite volume grids with embedeed bodies has been presented. All the algorithms implemented tried to be GPU friendly. Considering its applications, particular emphasis has been done in the evaluation and well description of fluid forces on a rigid body and in the assesment of some thermal calculations in comparison to other experimental and numerical results. To this end, a second order numerical scheme has been developed based on a Rhie-Chow discretization for a collocated finite volume strategy, and the SIMPLE algorithm has been modified by including an operator to adjust the boundary conditions.
