Journal of North East India Studies (JNEIS) seeks to provide readers worldwide with scholarly articles related to history, anthropology, sociology, economics, education, political science, religion and other issues related to Northeast India. However, manuscripts related to Eastern India and the neighbouring countries of Northeast India – Bangladesh, Bhutan, China and Myanmar can also be accepted. It is an attempt to set a platform for debate and discussion among policymakers, opinion-makers, academics, journalists and theologians for in-depth analysis of India’s most volatile Northeastern region. JNEIS publishes groundbreaking studies, insightful commentary, and hard-hitting reviews that tackle the entire range of contemporary concerns across the region. The issues appear in print edition and are available in full-text in this website. The JNEIS welcomes submissions of original articles, commentaries, perspectives, research notes, review essays and book reviews.
