In the processes of manufacturing craft beer, such as malting, grinding and maceration, the amount of water in the mixture with cereal grains is the main ingredient, reaching approximately 90% of the product. The other activities within the production process with high water consumption are the cleaning processes of the equipment used, filtering and packaging. The characteristics of the effluents generated require physical and biological treatment processes of high removal efficiency due to the high content of organic matter. The elaborated proposal has a stage of Primary, Secondary or Tertiary Treatment and the most demanding conditions that should be considered for its elaboration. With primary sieving treatment, a subsequent biological treatment through an anaerobic filter with support material and an aerobic reactor of activated sludge, and an ozone injection refining treatment it is possible to perform an efficient treatment of effluents and comply with current regulations required by the Regulatory Entity of the province.
