The general objective of this study was to analyze and improve the Management Plan of Urban Nature Reserve Laguna La Zeta according with the Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM ) principles. Zeta Lagoon is a water surface of 60 has in an area and with a maximum depth of 11 m located in an area of 1.000 has in the Municipality of Esquel (Chubut) located 7 km from the city center. The main current use of the land is recreation and livestock of neighboring properties graze in this field. Besides the Municipality afforested productive purposes. Also here is interest in developing the area by private enterprises. Because there is not a legal framework, none of these projects remains standing. While there is a history linked to the management of these lands, and reflected in the Urban Planning Code of the City were not enough to achieve real estate management. In 2010 an interagency commission to honorary mandated by the city council of the city, conducted a management plan which was adopted with input from a public hearing in 2013.
