Different alternatives were studied in this thesis for the multivariate resolution of non linear kinetic system for the determination of metalic ions acting as catalysts. The reduction reaction of resazurin by sodium sulphide in alcaline medium catalized by Cu(II) and Ni(II) was specifically used. A stopped flow injection system was designed and optimized for the experimental data adquisition. Situations with the analytes in separate form and with analyte mixtures were studied. Deterministic methods were used to analyze different kinetic models. It was concluded that the autocatalytic model showed a high agree with the experimental data and allows the reliable separately analytes quantification. For analyte mixtures high prediction errors were recorded. These situations were anlyzed through the regression of principal components and partial least squares regression as linear calibration methods. The nonlinearity of the system was manifiested through high errors associated to the prediction. Nonlinear multivariate calibration models based on artificial neural networks (ANNs), were used with which reliable and reproducible results were obtained in all analyzed cases. In this way, the ability of ANNs models to describe non linear data was demostrated.in situations where the deterministic methods fail in their application as well as in those where these last ones also produce satisfactory results.Palabras clave – provistas por el repositorio digital
