Writing about innovation strategy or management innovation is beyond the scope of this book. Nor is it the goal. We have presented a new framework for analyses that permits the academic, the management consultant and the manager alike to understand a product (or a single product firm) is located in the integrated innovation space, it is so located and which then provides valuable clues as to to do while designing strategy. The integration of the important determinant variables in one visual framework with a robust and an internally consistent theoretical basis also permits a rich analysis of many market dynamics. The Integrated Model is an important step towards devising comprehensive firm strategy.
